"Helter Skelter" -- Piping Plovers can run with astonishing speed and assurance, as adults and also as chicks–even just a day or two after birth. It’s impossible to follow their stride with the naked eye and capturing them with a camera is far from easy. This is a COMPOSITE IMAGE OF ONE CHICK--perhaps just over a week old-- which I put together from four successive shots.
