"Feeding Time" -- A Common Tern swoops down to feed its offspring–I can’t say chick, since the juvenile clearly can fly, but it’s also clearly happy to be fed by mama or papa. This was taken on a wonderful day in July 2007 on Popponesset Spit on Cape Cod. My friends at the Coastal Waterbird Program tell me that it has not been so productive since.
